Scotland China Brief is delighted to be partnering with the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) on its 2027 China-Scotland Business Awards and 14th annual Chinese Burns Supper.
As official media partner, Scotland China Brief will carry exclusive in-depth reporting of the event as well as the diverse array of businesses, universities and cultural initiatives which will be recognised on the night.
The collaboration reflects our shared commitment to highlighting bilateral trade, business connections, educational innovation and cultural exchange between Scotland and China.
Welcoming the partnership, James Brodie, the CBBC’s commercial director for industrial economy and regional director for Scotland, said: “CBBC is delighted to be partnering with Scotland China Brief, who share in the awards’ mission of promoting awareness of the bonds that exist between China and Scotland in business, education and culture.
“Scotland China Brief’s work in this space over the last few months has brought fresh energy to an often-underreported scene.”
George Iordanov-Nalbantov, co-editor and co-founder of Scotland China Brief, said: “It is a privilege to join the 2027 China-Scotland Business Awards as an official media partner.
“What makes these awards, and the Chinese Burns Supper, so special is how they bring together commerce, academia and the arts under one roof, especially with the addition of the new Cultural Collaboration category this year.
“We very much look forward to working with James and the CBBC team to celebrate the organisations strengthening Scotland-China ties.”

Applications are now open for the 2027 awards, with entries closing on 2 December 2026. The programme spans seven categories reflecting the breadth of the bilateral relationship:
